Junior Achievement honors Jaguars owner and entrepreneur Shad Khan with the 15th Annual Thompson S. Baker Award

Nearly 600 people packed the Lower West Club at Everbank Field on Thursday, June 13 when Junior Achievement of North Florida held its annual Hall of Fame Event.


Keynote speaker Dr. Nikolai Vitti, Superintendent, Duval County Schools spoke of JA’s place in the classroom and the importance of placing the District employees into schools to teach JA across the city.

The Thompson S. Baker “Solid as a Rock” award is presented to an individual who exemplifies leadership and is dedicated to bettering our community. Shad Khan, the president and owner of Flex-N-Gate Corporation and owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars, is the 2013 recipient of this annual award.
