JA Girl$ brings entrepreneurship and personal finance to all-girls STEM middle school

Four Citi volunteers and two volunteers from NAS Jax taught JA Girl$ classes in 6th, 7th and 8th grades at Waverly Academy on May 6. The lessons focused on smart money management and concepts in entrepreneurship.

Young ladies in 7th grade participated in JA It’s My Business!  during which they worked in groups to create a blueprint for a school club, then presented the plan to their peers.

They also discovered the skills and knowledge needed to start a business when they learned how to “fill a need” and brainstormed product designs.
