On May 7, eighteen students from Ribault High School and Bridge to Success at Ribault High School participated in a mentoring event with AT&T employees for Junior Achievement’s JA Job Shadow™ program.
The students completed Junior Achievement classroom curriculum in which they researched career opportunities and learned about the skills needed to land a job, then saw those concepts applied to the real-world when they visited AT&T’s Southside location in Jacksonville. The students interacted with employees and experienced first-hand what it’s like to work at AT&T.
“Junior Achievement is excited to team up with AT&T on this important initiative. It is only through our collaboration and shared commitment to increase high school graduation rates that we will be successful. Both organizations remain focused on how to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to be college and career ready,” said Steve St. Amand, President, Junior Achievement of North Florida.
