Providing role models for Jacksonville’s young men

JA Boy$

JA Boy$ partners with classrooms, youth organizations, and all-boys group to educate young men on managing money, getting a job and preparing for future success.

On June 2, our JA Boy$ program teamed up with Valor Academy of Jacksonville to bring Junior Achievement’s Reverse Job Shadow to their students.

As a group, they boys had the opportunity for a one-on-one Q&A with Terrance Freeman, city councilman and candidate for State House. Freeman, a former professional baseball player, spoke on the importance of finishing school and the value of an education in setting oneself up for long term career success.

JA Boy$ serves as a bridge between JA’s real-world programs and all-male classroom environment. For more info on this program and how to get involved, click here.
